"Traffic Calming" - Sure!!

A very drunk groom thought I should join the bride and the wedding party - I told you everyone was friendly.
This posting is a day late since we had internet connection problems at the hotel.

Thursday:
We always laugh when we see the signs; "Traffic calming" with a speed of 60 kmh. HA!!  That's right after you come out of 20 kilometers of twisting road at 100 kmh.  I'm already doing 60 kmh at this point so happy to give me an excuse to breath a little and let the line of cars behind me know I'm obeying the law.  I just want you to know that these roads allow just about anything that has a wheel.  I think the bicyclists in these country are either crazy or suicidal.

Today we had the most beautiful weather since we got here.  Sunshine and clear skies.  After we got very detailed directions on how to get to a little coastal town called Kinsale we actually enjoyed our drive to this quant little fishing village.  Again, the people were overwhelming friendly except for one old grouch that thought we might be shoplifting and watched us every minute.  I wanted to ask him if I could take his picture and show everyone the "Only Mean Old Man in Ireland".  Then you compare him to the sweetest Irish gentleman I met up on a road to the Old Head Lighthouse.  We couldn't get to the lighthouse because all the property on the head of the peninsula was bought by golf course.  He explained how it was quite a scandal after it went to court and now no one can visit the light house unless you are a "rich ass Irishman".   I just love their expressions. So honest!  We figure the judge has a lifetime membership.

One of the many walking streets in Kinsale. All the buildings are painted so colorful - kinda like Disneyland w/a brough
This one is for Amy.  Mom with a very cute Irishman in a Pub
